Best know as Supergirl from TV’s Smallville, or Lisa on the successful remake of the TV series V, Laura Vandervoort has just signed on to appear in Ted; an upcoming comedy from the writer of Family Guy (Seth MacFarlane), about one man and his teddy bear, who comes to life as the result of a childhood wish.
Vandervoort will be joining the already attached Mark Wahlberg (The Fighter); who’s starring as John, the man with the teddy; Mila Kunis (the Black Swan actress who voiced Meg Griffin on Family Guy for a number of years), Giovanni Ribisi (Avatar), Joel McHale (Community), and Patrick Warburton (Men in Black II), as John’s gorgeous coworker; the sexy salesgirl who works alongside him, and remains unaware of the large number of men that spend their day drooling and pining over her.
MacFarlane himself will be providing the voice of Ted for the film, which is scheduled for release in the US on July 13th 2012, but doesn’t have a confirmed UK release date as yet.
