No, sadly it’s not the subtitle for Dick Tracy 2 (but apparently a Tracy sequel is at least being thought about), but you can watch the Rules Don’t Apply trailer below, and get a first look at Warren Beatty’s upcoming Howard Hughes film.
With Beatty on script duty, directing, and taking the role of Hughes himself, Rules Don’t Apply will follow actress Marla Mabrey (Lily Collins, The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones) and her driver Frank Forbes (Alden Ehrenreich, Hail Caesar!); a devout Baptist and clear beauty, and a handsome, already engaged, Methodist who’re forbidden from entering into a romantic relationship, as Hughes expressly forbids any employee entering a relationship with a contract actress.
Matthew Broderick (Godzilla), Annette Bening (American Beauty), Martin Sheen (The Way), Alec Baldwin (Beetlejuice), Haley Bennett (The Equalizer), Ed Harris (The Rock), Steve Coogan (Alan Partridge: Alpha Papa), and Oliver Platt (Executive Decision) are all set to co-star in the film which is set to be released in the US this November, but is yet to secure an official UK release date.
