In a recent interview with IGN, Avengers 2 director Joss Whedon may have let slip the future of one of the big three Marvel Cinematic Universe characters.
Quizzed on whether Iron Man would make it to the uber superhero fest, he said: “Well, I feel like in Iron Man 3, even though he said, ‘I’ve changed’ — he blew up his remote suits, but I don’t think anybody thinks he doesn’t have one anymore. The question is, if The Avengers are called, does he show up? And the answer is, ‘Yes!’”
Of course, given the end of Iron Man 3 where Tony Stark calls it a day from being a superhero, it’s an interesting development. The bigger question is of course still is Robert Downey Jr. coming back again for a fifth appearance in the red and yellow suit?
