Coming from writer/director Taylor Sheridan (the writer behind the phenomenal Hell or High Water, best known for his starring role as Deputy Chief Hale in Sons of Anarchy), Wind River is an upcoming thriller starring Arrival‘s Jeremy Renner; whose character is explored in the newly released featurette at the bottom of the page.
Renner stars as U.S. Fish & Wildlife agent Cory Lambert; a hunter who’s forced to confront his past when he discovers a body in the rugged wilderness of the Wind River Indian Reservation in Wyoming, and joins forces with a rookie FBI agent (played by Renner’s Avengers co-star Elizabeth Olsen) in a quest to solve a complex murder which seems eerily reminiscent of the death of his own daughter.
Co-starring Jon Bernthal (Netflix’s The Punisher), Gil Birmingham (Hell or High Water), Graham Greene (Maverick), Julia Jones (The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2), and Kelsey Asbille (Pair of Kings), Wind River will be released in the US on August 4th, before making its official UK release date on September 8th.
