Since the release of the first trailer at San Diego Comic-Con, we’ve seen drips and drabs of Wonder Woman’s future (including snippets of Justice League footage), but now have the Wonder Woman official trailer available to view below (following a selection of newly released posters for the film).
Gal Gadot will, of course, be reprising the role of Diana Prince (aka Wonder Woman); she first portrayed in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice; this time treating fans to Wonder Woman’s origin story, where a chance encounter with soldier Steve Trevor (Chris Pine, Hell or High Water) sees her begin an epic journey from Amazonian warrior Princess, on the island of Themyscira, into the heart of World War I, to fight for the very future of the world.
Co-starring Lucy Davis (The Office), Robin Wright (State of Grace), Connie Nielsen (Gladiator), Danny Huston (X-Men Origins: Wolverine), David Thewlis (Dragonheart), and Ewen Bremner (Trainspotting), and directed by Monster’s Patty Jenkins, Wonder Woman is due to be released on 2 June tex year in both the US and UK.
