Versatile actor Woody Harrelson (who’s resume over the last couple of years has included roles in Now You See Me, Out Of The Furnace, Seven Psychopaths, The Hunger Games: Catching Fire, and Rampart, and recently saw him earn an Emmy nomination for his role in HBO’s True Detective) willl soon be heading to the Old West, for the upcoming western By Way Of Helena.
Co-starring fellow Hunger Games actor Liam Hemsworth, By Way Of Helena has been scripted by relative unknown Matt Cook, is due to be directed by Kieran Darcy-Smith (Animal Kingdom star, and Wish You Were Here director), and will follow an Texas Ranger (Hemsworth) in the 1880s, investigating a series of murders in the isolated frontier town Helena.
Harrelson will star as local preacher Abraham (a man who basically controls the town, and doesn’t take too kindly to an outsider poking around in local business), when By Way Of Helena is released on an as yet unconfirmed date.
