Wreck-It Ralph fans (namely anyone who saw the film) have been waiting some time for news of a sequel to Disney’s 2012 animated film, following a loveable video-game character on an adventure through various games in his arcade, but now we have official word (coming via a Facebook Live video) Wreck-It Ralph 2 will be released in 2018.
Returning director Rich Moore will be co-directing with Wreck-It Ralph writer Phil Johnson, with John C. Reilly returning to voice the titular Ralph in a new adventure which will see him leaving the comforts of the arcade and somehow wrecking the internet, and potentially joined by some huge video-game icons as Nintendo have finally agreed allow some of its signature characters (yes, Mario being one of them) to appear.
