After recently releasing a brand new poster for X-Men: First Class; the upcoming X-Men prequel directed by Kick-Ass’ Matthew Vaughn; 20th Century Fox have now released a brand new teaser trailer for the movie (which is available to view below).
Much of the footage from the trailer has already been seen before, and as we already know the basis of the plot; chronicling the secret side of the Cold War, and the breakdown of the relationship between mutant best friends Charles Xavier/Professor X (this time played by Wanted’s James McAvoy) and Erik Lehnsherr/Magneto (this time played by Centurion’s Michael Fassbender); there isn’t much revealed in that department, although there is a wealth of new action sequences and special effects to gawp at.
One of three major Marvel Studios releases this year (the other two being Captain America, and Thor) X-Men: First Class will be released on June 2nd in the UK, and on June 3rd in the US, and so far looks to have all the panache and grandeur of a typical summer blockbuster.
