Men In Black reboot next for Straight Outta Compton director?

After the fantastic N.W.A biopic Straight Outta Compton, and the Box Office smash that was The Fate of the Furious (otherwise known as Fast & Furious 8), director F. Gary Gray may have just lined up his next project; as he’s recently entered talks to helm Sony’s planned Men In Black reboot.

While plans to merge the Men In Black franchise with Jump Street have thankfully been scrapped, it appears the idea is now to simply reboot the Men In Black franchise with a brand new movie; with Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones replaced by some new blood, and only showing up in cameo roles (if at all).

A script has been written by Iron Man writers Matt Holloway and Art Macum, and whether F. Gary Gray takes the job or not, Sony are hoping to release the new Men In Black movie on 14 June 2019.
