Teaser Trailer and Disney+ Release Date for Live-Action Pinocchio

Reuniting Tom Hanks with his Forrest Gump, Cast Away, and The Polar Express director Robert Zemeckis (the renowned filmmaker behind Back To The Future, Flight, and Contact), Pinocchio is the latest live-action remake of a beloved Disney classic (following The Jungle Book, The Lion King, and Beauty and the Beast), and was recently given its first teaser trailer; which can now be viewed above.

Hanks will star as the classic toymaker Gepetto, who wishes upon a star and give life to a wonderful wooden puppet named Pinocchio, who sets off on an epic adventure in a quest to become a real boy. With Benjamin Evan Ainsworth (The Haunting of Bly Manor) and Joseph Gordon-Levitt (Looper) voicing Pinocchio and Jimmy Cricket respectively. 

Lorraine Bracco (The Sopranos), and Luke Evans (Beauty and the Beast), also star in the new Pinocchio movie, which is due to make its Disney+ premiere on Thursday 8 September 2022; timed for this year’s Disney+ Day, just ahead of the D23 Expo in Anaheim California.
