Twilight star Taylor Lautner (who plays Werewolf Jacob in the popular teen/vampire movies) has said it will be a “relief” when the Saga comes to an end, and judging by the trailer for his next movie; Abduction; it looks as if he could be right, as a solid career as an action star could lay ahead of him.
Directed by John Singleton (Four Brothers), Abduction stars Lautner as Nathan Price; a seemingly average teenager who feels that something is slightly off about his life (like most teenagers), and has his suspicions quickly become reality when a childhood picture of him is discovered on a missing persons website, his parents turn out to be far from the people he thought they were, and he suddenly finds himself hunted by a number of CIA heavies.
Boasting a supporting cast that includes Alfred Molina (Spider-Man 2), Maria Bello (A History of Violence), Jason Isaacs (The Patriot), Sigourney Weaver (Alien), and Michael Nyqvist (The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo), Abduction looks to play out like a teenage Bourne movie (with action to match), and is bound to delight the members of Team Jacob when it’s released on September 23rd in the US, and on September 30th in the UK.
