He’s directed some of the best known, and most well loved, romantic comedies of all time; Notting Hill, Four Weddings and A Funeral, and Love Actually among them; and now Richard Curtis (the War Horse, Vicar of Dibley, and Blackadder writer) is preparing to direct an upcoming, time-travel based, rom-com called About Time; which has just signed Sherlock Holmes’ Rachel McAdams.

Having already played The Time-Traveler’s Wife, McAdams should have no trouble slotting into a role which will place her opposite the time-traveling Domhnall Gleeson (Brendon Gleeson’s son), and sees her replacing the previously attached Zooey Deschanel (500 Days of Summer), when filming begins in London next month, ahead of an unannounced release date pencilled in for sometime next year.
