Apollo 18 Trailer

Suggesting that NASA sent another mission to the moon following Apollo 17, Apollo 18 is the upcoming ‘found footage’ horror movie that reportedly tracks the events of that same secretive mission, shows exactly what happened to the astronauts involved, and has just had its latest trailer released online (which is now available to view below).

Starring a cast of relative unknowns (in order to add to the illusion that the film is a recording of actual events), the Timur Bekmambetov (Wanted) produced film involves the US space explorers finding a damaged Russian helmet on the moon, before things go unexpectedly sideways (or whichever they tend to please in zero gravity), and something decidedly dangerous and non-human (which hasn’t been officially revealed as yet) makes itself known.

Apollo 18 is due to be released in the US on September 2nd, but won’t be making its way onto UK cinema screens until January 6th 2012.
