Bradley Cooper Eyes Orphan X

Bradley CooperWith American Sniper continuing to do huge business across the pond, and moves into Oscar territory with fairly high chances of scoring at least some success, star Bradley Cooper will be continuing his relationship with Warner Bros. and is looking to produce the upcoming action/thriller Orphan X for the studio.

Warner Bros. are currently negotiating for the rights to the book (written by Gregg Hurwitz, and due to be released next year) which will tell the tale of a wandering hero (in a similar vein to Jack Reacher) who traverses the country and often winds up helping people he meets; in this case uncovering a world of human trafficking and slavery presided over by a corrupt Los Angeles detective.

Already having several TV scripting gigs under his belt (not to mention a number of books, and comics), Hurwitz will adapt the Orphan X book for screen himself, and see Cooper producing with an eye to possibly taking on the lead role as well.
