It’s been 12 years since Bridget Jones took us to the Edge of Reason, but now she’s back, she’s far from settled down, and slap-bang in the middle of enjoying life finds out she’s pregnant, and isn’t completely sure who the father is. Watch the Bridget Jones’s Baby official trailer below for more.
Renee Zellweger reprises the titular role of the bumbling heroine, who’s still not completely over Mark Darcy (a returning Colin Firth), but falls heads over heels (or face into mud at least) for Patrick Dempsey (Grey’s Anatomy) before falling pregnant, and beginning to panic as she doesn’t know which of the two could be the baby’s father.
Directed once again by Sharon Maguire, with returning cast members Jim Broadbent, Celia Imrie, James Callis, and Sally Phillips, appearing as well as series newcomer Emma Thompson (the Love Actually star who also worked on the script), Bridget Jones’s Baby is due to be released on September 16th in both the US and UK.
