Clooney is out, Cooper has passed, but now it looks as if director Steven Soderbergh (Contagion) may have found a new leading man to take on the role of super-spy Napoleon Solo, in the upcoming big screen adaptation of the classic TV series The Man from U.N.C.L.E.; Channing Tatum.
Tatum’s already worked with Soderbergh on the upcoming action movie Haywire, and will soon re-team with the director on Magic Mike (which casts him as a male stripper), but could soon be taking on Robert Vaughn’s role in the movie which has been scripted by Scott Z Burns (Contagion), focusses on an international crime-fighting organization, but doesn’t have a set release date as yet.
Matt Wheeldon.
