Christopher WalkenHaving already cast newcomer Neel Sethi in the role of Mowgli for his upcoming adaptation of Rudyard Kipling’s famed tale The Jungle Book, director Jon Favreau (Iron Man) has recently added two more names to the cast; Christopher Walken, and Giancarlo Esposito.

King of New York-er Christopher Walken will join the live action/animated film as the voice of jungle-dwelling ape king Louie (the one who sang ‘I Wanna Be Like You’ in the Disney cartoon), while Giancarlo Esposito (the man known by every Breaking Bad fan as Gustavo Fring) will appear as Akela (the leader of the wolf pack who adopts the young Mowgli).

With a cast-list already including the likes of Ben Kingsley (Shutter Island), Idris Elba (Thor: The Dark World), Scarlett Johansson (The Avengers), Lupita Nyong’o (12 Years A Slave), The Jungle Book is due to be released on October 9th 2015 in the US, before making its official UK release date on October 16th 2015.
