Adapted from the George Wallace/Don Keith novel Firing Point, the upcoming action/thriller Hunter Killer focusses on a rogue Russian general who decides it’d be a laugh to not only kidnap his own country’s president, but also try and start World War III, and may be about to lock both Gerard Butler and Sam Worthington into two of its key roles.
Should they sign on Butler (Gamer) and Worthington (Clash of the Titans) will appear as two of the allies; submarine captain Joe Glass and Navy SEAL commander Bill Beaman respectively; who are tasked with stopping the general when the Antoine Fuqua (Training Day) directed movie is released on December 21st 2012 in the US (and presumably in the shortly after in the UK).
