We’ve already seen a few character banners, a trailer or two, and a couple of posters, but now, Lionsgate have released the latest (and likely final) poster for The Expendables 2 (the upcoming sequel to the 2010 action hit); featuring all the fire, guns, knives, explosions, and aging action heroes you’d expect to see from a film with the action-heavy, pun-laden, tagline ‘Back For War.’
While writer/producer/director/star of The Expendables Sylvester Stallone has limited his role to producing and headlining the upcoming sequel (leaving the directing gig in the capable hands of The Mechanic’s Simon West), it’s clear that The Expendables 2 is going to contain just as much action as the first movie, and feature a cast that’s just as nostalgic, and action-ready.
Returning stars Jason Statham, Dolph Lundgren, Terry Crews, Randy Couture, Arnold Schwarzenegger, and Bruce Willis, will this time be joined by Jean-Claude Van Damme (Timecop), Chuck Norris (Delta Force), and Liam Hemsworth (The Hunger Games), in the film which is due to be released on August 17th in both the US, and UK.
