Mad Max Fury Road Poster 02

Coming from ‘mastermind’ George Miller, the writer/director who gave the world the original Mad Max trilogy (which launched Mel Gibson’s career, gave us all a fondness for leather, and smashed up a lot of cars, as well as a rather natty Tina Turner song), Mad Max: Fury Road looks to be every inch as explosive, exciting, fun, crazy, and utterly insane as every Mad Max fan had ever hoped; as you can see from the newly released trailer below.

Starring Tom Hardy (The Drop) as the iconic Road Warrior Max, Fury Road will see the infamous drifter still inhabiting the wasteland of the post-apocalyptic Australian desert, and battling more leather-clad lunatics when he joins forces with an action-led woman named Imperator Furiosa (Charlize Theron, A Million Ways To Die In The West) in an attempt to cross the desert and escape the clutches of the villainous Immortal Joe (Hugh Keays-Byrne, the man who played Toecutter in the first Mad Max).

Co-starring Nicholas Hoult (X-Men: Days of Future Past), Rosie Huntington-Whiteley (Transformers: Dark of the Moon), Riley Keough (Magic Mike), and Zoë Kravitz (X-Men: First Class) Mad Max: Fury Road, which Miller describes as “one long chase sequence”, is due to be released on May 15th in both the US and UK.
