Mad Max Reboot Delayed Indefinitely

A real Hollywood man-of-the-moment (but one with the acting chops to actually back up his reputation) Tom Hardy’s recently been seen in Inception, Warrior, and now John Hillcoat’s Lawless, but has long been linked to the slowly gestating Mad Max reboot which still doesn’t have a definitive release date, or start date.

Speaking recently to Empire, Hardy simply said “who knows when it’ll come out?”, stating that he’s now “been on stand-by for two years” and really doesn’t have a clue when Mad Max: Fury Road; the film which is due to be directed by Mad Max regular George Miller, and co-star both Charlize Theron (Snow White and the Huntsman) and Nicholas Hoult (X-Men: First Class); will be released, especially given as the shoot was originally predicted to last an entire year (something which will likely be reigned in, due to ever-present budget concerns).
