Mob City Trailer

Mob City 01Coming from Shawshank Redemption director, and the man largely responsible for The Walking Dead TV series, Frank Darabont, Mob City is based on John Buntin’s critically acclaimed book L.A. Noir: The Struggle for the Soul of America’s Most Seductive City, and has just had its first trailer released online (now available to view below).

Once known as Lost Angels, Mob City sees Los Angeles Police Chief William Parker (Neal McDonough, Captain America) pledging to end the corruption that’s rife within his own police force, and rid the city of criminals such as Bugsy Siegel (Ed Burns, Saving Private Ryan), and Mickey Cohen (Jeremy Luke, who’ll soon be seen in Don Jon).

With all the potential to be not only a small screen version of Gangster Squad, but delve deeper into the characters that made up the titular crime-fighting team, and and be much more darker than the overly stylized movie, Mob City will also feature appearances from Jon Bernthal (The Walking Dead), Robert Knepper (Prison Break), Ernie Hudson (The Crow), Milo Ventimiglia (Heroes), and Jeffrey DeMunn (The Walking Dead) and is due to premiere in the US on December 4th, and hopefully cross over to UK networks soon after (though no date/channel has been confirmed for that as yet).
