It was fairly recently that we saw the release of the latest trailer for Sony’s upcoming franchise reboot The Amazing Spider-Man, but in an effort to claw back some attention from another superhero movie which is doing fairly well at the moment, a new trailer, and few new Spidey pics have just been released online; including the first look at The Lizard (otherwise known as Curt Connors, and are now available to view below).
Portrayed by Rhys Ifans (Mr Nice) The Lizard will be facing off against your friendly neighbourhood Spider-Man, in the film which onces agin explores Spidey’s origin story, sees Tobey Macguire replaced by Andrew Garfield (The Social Network), and his Aunt may and Uncle Ben played by Sally Field (Mrs Doubtfire) and Martin Sheen (The Way) respectively.
Co-starring Emma Stone (The Help) and Denis Leary (Rescue Me), the Marc Webb directed movie is due to make its 3D release date on July 3rd in the US, and July 4th in the UK, but odds are we’ll be seeing plenty more of the happy-go-lucky web-slinger before then.
