Based on the tale of a CIA operation so crazy that if it wasn’t a true story, no-one would believe it, Argo is the next movie directed by, and starring, Ben Affleck (The Town), and has just had a brand new poster released online (now available to view below).
Starring as one of the agents tasked with saving a bunch of hostages during the Iran Hostage Crisis back in 1979, Argo follows the agents as they pose as a film crew scouting locations in the troubled country (where six Americans had escaped the home of the Canadian ambassador, but we’re still very much fearing for their lives), and use their cover as a means of recusing the hostages.
Co-starring Bryan Cranston (Total Recall), John Goodman (The Artist), Alan Arkin (Little Miss Sunshine), Kyle Chandler (Early Edition), Clea DuVall (Carnivàle), and Zeljko Ivanek (Donnie Brasco), Argo is due to be released on October 12th in the US, before making its official UK release date on November 7th.
