The distrubution rights to Where to Invade Next, Michael Moore’s newest documentary, have been bought by a new label formed by former Radius-TWC founders and co-presidents Tom Quinn and Jason Janego, and Alamo Drafthouse CEO Tim League. The label, which is currently without a name, have slated the doco for a December release.

Where to Invade Next debuted to acclaim at the Toronto International Film Festival earlier in September, pricking the ears of distrubutors, as this promises to be another lucrative documentary from the controversial filmmaker. Moore himself called the label’s founders “a cinematic Dream Team.”

Although the December release is limited, and is timed for Oscar-qualification, a wider release is promised in “hundreds of theatres across the country ahead of the first presidential primary.” Said Quinn and Janego, “Together with Michael Moore and his extraordinary new film we hope to remind Americans they have the inalienable right to laugh, especially in an election year.”

In Where to Invade Next, Moore spends time in European countries such as Finland, Italy and France to explore how the countries deal with social and economic strife, in comparison to the United States.
