Taking a break from the Resident Evil franchise to release a blockbuster disaster movie based one one of the most infamous, and legendary, natural disasters of all time, Paul W.S. Anderson’s latest movie is set in the heart of one of the most famous ruined cities in history, and will aim to show it’s brutal and spritely downfall in all its mythic glory, as seen in the first full trailer for Pompeii; now available to view below, along with a selection of images from the film.
Starring Game of Thrones’ Kit Harrington as a slave who will attempt to rescue both his friend (Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, Faster), and the woman he loves (Emily Browning, Sucker Punch), from the ill-fated city, Pompeii will co-star Keifer Sutherland (24), Jared Harris (Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows), and Carrie-Anne Moss (The Matrix), when it’s released on February 21st in both the US and UK.
