Rango: Trailer, and Behind the Scenes Footage

0

Reuniting Gore Verbinski (the director of the first three Pirates of the Caribbean movies) with his Pirates of the Caribbean star Johnny Depp (Public Enemies), Rango is an animated film about a chameleon who’s struggling to find his path in life, until he lands his dream job as the sheriff of an Old West town called Dirt.

Accepted by the people of Dirt as a hero for killing a hawk (who actually died accidentally whilst trying to eat Rango), Rango accepts the posting of town sheriff, hoping to fulfill his dreams of becoming a famous gunfighter, and clean up the town, undeterred by the town’s cemetery full of tombstones belonging to previous sheriffs.

Rango is the first full length animated movie due being produced by Industrial Light & Magic in 35 years, yet is undeniably pretty, looks suitably cinematic, and contains voice talent from not only Johnny Depp, but Bill Nighy (Love Actually); as the town rattlesnake; Timothy Olyphant (Justified); as the spirit of the west; Isla Fisher (Wedding Crashers), Abigail Breslin (Zombieland), Alfred Molina (Spider-Man 2), Ryan Hurst (Sons of Anarchy), Claudia Black (Stargate SG-1), Stephen Root (Red State), and Ray Winstone (Edge of Darkness).

The latest official trailer for the movie can be viewed below, followed by some behind the scenes footage showing the various stages of production; including voice capture, and stage work; all aimed at whetting your appetites, and getting everybody looking forward to the March 4th release date.
