Since starring in HBO’s Rome Ray Stevenson has had an increasingly growing movie career; which has so far included roles in films such as The Book of Eli, and Thor; and has just been cast as the villain (a ninja explosives expert) in the upcoming sequel to G.I. Joe: Rise of the Cobra; titled G.I. Joe 2: Cobra Strikes.

Stevenson will co-star alongside Channing Tatum (The Eagle) and Dwayne Johnson (Fast Five) in the film that’s being directed by Jon M. Chu (Justin Bieber: Never Say Never), and is due to enter production towards the end of the summer, for an August 2012 release, but anyone looking to see him onscreen before then can always catch Paul WS Anderson’s upcoming movie The Three Musketeers (released this October); in which he plays Porthos, one of the titular Musketeers.
