Rupert Wyatt directing original sci-fi Captive State

After making his name with the superb Rise of the Planet of the Apes, Rupert Wyatt’s happy to stick with the ski-fi genre, and will soon be bringing an original science-fiction film, titled Captive State, to the big screen.

While there’s very little known about the film at this point, we do know it has been written by both Wyatt (who recently gave us the remake of The Gambler) and his wife Erica Beeney, and is set to begin shooting next year; hopefully having more luck than Gambit (the Channing Tatum X-Men spinoff, Wyatt was originally set to direct) which has just lost another director.
