Staying true to form, Jason Stahtam’s latest movie, Safe, finds him playing the part of a surly action hero; an ex-cop/MMA cage-fighter; that gets his entire family killed when he crosses the Russian mob, before waiting enough time for brooding and resentment to thoroughly set in, and then putting his life on the line to save a 12-year-old girl from the same gangsters.
A three-way war soon breaks out between the Russians, the Triads, and a corrupt faction of the NYPD, when everyone begins to scramble for the Don’t Say a Word-type secret code the young girl holds in her head, and finds themselves getting battered by The Stath in the Boaz Yakin (The Punisher) directed movie which is due to be released on April 27th in the US, and on May 11th in the UK.
