Sony Delays The Throwaways Following Company Hack

Throwaways posterFollowing the recent, hugely publicised, hacking and widespread release of Sony’s data, emails, and several films, the company has decided to postpone the release of their upcoming hacker movie The Throwaways, believing it didn’t feel right to release the thriller in the current atmosphere, in light of their own hacking debacle, to release a movie based around hackers.

Sam Huntington (Superman Returns) leads the cast as a hacker who uses his computing skills to track down another prolific hacker for the CIA, in the movie which has been executively produced by Jeremy Renner (The Town), co-stars James Caan (Elf) and Kevin Dillon (Entourage), and has now had it’s released delayed by a month, after originally being scheduled for release this coming Friday (December 19th), via Sony’s online video site Crackle.
