It’s been five years since we saw Jason Statham appear as The Mechanic (read our full review of the film here), but now his titular hitman is set to return; as seen in the newly released Mechanic: Resurrection official trailer below.
As with many of these action movies, the plot finds Statham’s hitman Arthur Bishop reluctantly returning to his former profession in order to help someone out; by killing a bunch of people and making it look like an accident, before the woman he loves (Jessica Alba, Sin City: A Dame To Kill For) is killed by the people who’ve kidnapped her.
Tommy Lee Jones (Under Siege) also joins the cast for the Dennis Gansel (The Wave) directed film which is due to be released in both the US and UK on August 26th.
