Sucker Punch: New Trailer

Taking place in another of director Zack Snyder’s (the 300 director who’s currently busy working on Superman: Man of Steel) highly-stylized worlds, Sucker Punch is being billed as a hyper-violent spin on the classic tale of Alice in Wonderland, and has just had it’s latest trailer released online (which can be seen below).

Babydoll (played by The Uninvited’s Emily Browning); Sucker Punch’s main character; is a young girl facing the prospect of being lobotomized, after her evil and abusive stepfather has her committed to an asylum; a prospect which leads her to retreat into a fantastical world she creates in her mind (becoming Sucker Punch’s Wonderland), where her and her friends hope to make their escape a reality.

Babydoll’s elite fighting team; which battle giant robots, dragons, and all sorts of tribulations; are comprised of Amber (Jamie Chung, Grown Ups), Rocket (Jena Malone, Donnie Darko), Blondie (Vanessa Hudgens, Thirteen), and Sweet Pea (Abbie Cornish, Candy), and can be seen getting into their fair share of action in the newly released trailer below (which rests above the previous, more plot driven, trailer).

Scott Glenn (The Silence of the Lambs), and Jon Hamm (The Town) will also be accompanying the girls into Babydoll’s fantasy world, when Sucker Punch lands in U.S. cinemas on March 25th (before opening in the U.K. opening on April 1st).
