The Next Three Days Trailer

With Robin Hood due to be released on Blu-ray and DVD next month, it’s the perfect time to take a glimpse at Russell Crowe’s (Robin Hood, Gladiator) next movie; The Next Three Days; which has just had its first official trailer released online.

Written and directed by Paul Haggis; the man that brought you the two latest Bond movies, Crash, Million Dollar Baby, Letters from Iwo Jima, and the Due South TV series; The Next Three Days follows the story of family man John Brennan (Crowe), as his whole world gets turned upside down when police raid his home, and arrest his wife for murder.

Believing that his wife (who will be played by Scrubs’ Elizabeth Banks) is innocent, John attempts to utilize every possible legal means of freeing her, but when that inevitably fails in the face of overwhelming evidence, he goes down a different route; enlisting the help of some rather unsavory characters (including a shady prison escapee played by Taken’s Liam Neeson), and planning an intricate prison break-in, and break-out to save his wife.

But being a simple family man, Brennan clearly has no idea what he’s doing; he doesn’t even know where the bullets go in his newly purchased gun; and as such it’s obvious that there’s a whole host of things that can, and probably will, go wrong for him when The Next Three Days gets its theatrical release, on January 7th next year.
