The Raid’s Joe Taslim Joins Fast Six

After starring in the possibly the best action movie of the year, The Raid, Indonesian star Joe Taslim has just been added to the cast of the upcoming sixth Fast & Furious movie; Fast Six (which will likely be released under a dozen different titles).

Due to play a bad guy named Jah, Taslim will join the cast of Fast Six as a cold-blooded killer who uses his martial arts, and parkour, skills to attack the heroes we’re all used to seeing drive fast cars to victory; as Vin Diesel, Paul Walker, Jordana Brewster, Tyrese Gibson, and Michelle Rodriguez are all returning to the fray once more.

And after the impressive addition of Dwayne Johnson to Fast Five (which was entirely marketed on the fact that Vin Diesel and The Rock have a fight!), it’s no surprise to learn that the Faster star will also be back, and this time joined by franchise newcomers Luke Evans (The Three Musketeers) and Gina Carano (Haywire).

While the plot is still official under wraps at Universal, it’s been suggested that Vin Diesel’s crew will butt heads with not only the agents chasing them (Johnson), but a crew headed by Evans, who’s attempting the same job as them, in the Justin Lin (Fast Five) directed movie which is due to be released on May 24th 2013 in both the US and UK.
