After the brilliant Thor: Ragnarok gave us a truly hilarious and exhilarating outing for our favourite Norse God/superhero, fans have been eagerly awaiting Taika Waititi’s return to the directing chair, and judging by the newly released trailer for Thor: Love and Thunder they won’t be disappointed.
Unfurling to the Guns N’ Roses classic “Sweet Child O’ Mine, the Love and Thunder trailer looks to be every bit as stylish and fun as Raganarok, and opens with Chris Hemsworth’s Thor attempting to work off the weight he gained prior to Avengers: Endgame, before heading out on his latest adventure.
The Guardians of the Galaxy also appear, Valkyrie (Tessa Thompson) is here, and eventually we’ll also see Christian Bale (The Dark Knight Rises) and Russell Crowe (Gladiator) playing Gorr the God Butcher and Zeus (with the lightning bolts) respectively. But, the thing that will really get fans’ tongues wagging; the trailer has given us the stunning first footage of Natalie Portman wielding Mjolnir as the Mighty Thor.
