Touted as the definitive origin story of Toy Story favourite Buzz Lightyear (or, at least, the movie which would inspire the action figure we all came to know and love), Lightyear will soon be making it’s way to cinemas and so, as its release date draws nearer Disney/Pixar have released a brand new Lightyear trailer.
Lightyear will find the titular Space Ranger Buzz (voiced here by Captain America star Chris Evans, and not Toy Story regular Tim Allen) taking on a daring space mission which goes a little awry (courtesy of the evil Emperor Zurg), before being hurtled through time and teaming-up with his friends’ grandkids, in order to defeat Zurg and his army of robots, and hopefully save the galaxy.
Also featuring the vocal talents of Taika Waititi, Josh Brolin, and Keke Palmer, as well as The Wire‘s Isiah Whitlock Jr., Lightyear is due to be released on 17 June 2022.
