Based on the true crime docu-series of the same name, The Staircase is the true story of Michael Peterson and the suspicious death of his wife Kathleen; who was found dead at the bottom of the staircase in their home.
Starring Colin Firth (The King’s Speech) and Toni Collette (About A Boy) as Michael and Kathleen Peterson respectively, The Staircase is an eight episode limited series which will stream on HBO Max in the U.S., and screen exclusively on Sky and streaming service NOW in the U.K.
Also starring Game of Thrones‘ Sophie Turner, Dane DeHaan (Chronicle), and Odessa Young (The Stand), The Staircase will premiere on 5 May.
